Dr. Aiko Tanaka opened Little Molars on the Boise Bench in 2011 after completing her pediatric dental residency at Seattle Children's Hospital. She grew up in Pocatello and wanted to build the kind of practice she wished she had as a nervous kid: bright, unhurried and honest with parents.

In her words
Dr. Aiko Tanaka opened Little Molars on the Boise Bench in 2011 after completing her pediatric dental residency at Seattle Children's Hospital. She grew up in Pocatello and wanted to build the kind of practice she wished she had as a nervous kid: bright, unhurried and honest with parents.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and holds hospital privileges for dental care under general anesthesia. Her special interest is caring for children with autism and medical complexity, and she speaks regularly to Treasure Valley parent groups about early prevention.
Outside the office you will find her paddleboarding at Quinn's Pond, coaching her daughter's Saturday soccer team and losing board games to her son.
Fun fact
Has a pet tortoise named Flossy who is older than most of her patients.
